A Dreamy Welcome for Baby Quinn
From One to Two: A Dreamy Legacy Newborn Session for Baby Quinn
There is no greater compliment in my career than when a family returns to my studio with their newest addition. I had the absolute joy of photographing this family’s firstborn a few years ago, and now, they are back to introduce the world to their second beautiful baby girl, Quinn.
Matching Moments & Sisterly Love
While the family didn't have specific requests, I knew I wanted to create a sense of continuity for their home. We styled several shots to mirror her older sister’s newborn session—perfect for creating cohesive wall art and heirloom albums.
Seeing big sister cradle Quinn was, to say the least, a dream. You can already see the "best friend" bond forming. Quinn slept like an angel, even flashing us a few tiny, milk-drunk smiles that absolutely melted the room.
A Palette of Sage, Plum, and Silhouette
We explored a variety of setups for Quinn’s solo portraits:
Earthly Sage: Using soft greens and natural textures to highlight her delicate features.
Rich Plum: A royal, moody purple that made her skin tone glow.
Classic Silhouettes: One of my favorite parts of this session was the backlit silhouette work. These shots capture the pure, ethereal profile of a family in transition—celebrating the quiet strength of Dad, the softness of Mom, and the wonder of a big sister.
Welcoming a second child is a beautiful shift in a family's gravity. It was an honor to document these first few days of Quinn's life and to see this family’s love double in size.
Welcome to the world, Quinn!
