“In truth, I've never enjoyed pictures of myself because I have always wished that someone could pose me like I'd pose them (for the most flattering lines, body shape, highlighting of details in an outfit or hairstyle, or compose a shot how I'd love to have it composed..”

After having 4 babies, I knew this was going to be my final (5th) baby and I wondered if I'd regret not having a personal visual representation of pregnancy (after having spent such a large portion of my "young" life dedicated to this intense physical experience). I talked with my husband and decided to take pictures, but I was very nervous. In truth, I've never enjoyed pictures of myself because I have always wished that someone could pose me like I'd pose them (for the most flattering lines, body shape, highlighting of details in an outfit or hairstyle, or compose a shot how I'd love to have it composed). I don't even like my wedding pictures. I have a very picky eye because I was a wedding photographer for over a decade and other photographers we've used have chopped off feet or limbs at funky joints, worked against the light with harsh shadows/poor quality with camera settings, or slapped a stock filter on everything and labeled it "art". Josie was completely different! From the moment I saw her feed/work, I fell in love with her artistry! Her eye for detail, her lighting, her angles, her vision, her colors, and composition are worth every single cent! She called to discuss my options and opinions and was able to squeeze me in her schedule (I was on the fence about taking pictures and waited until the last minute). She is very responsive and professional with the "business" items/deliverables while maintaining her intense skill level as a passionate artist with the most amazing technique and finesse! She is truly the best in both the business and art worlds (many people cannot toggle between both let alone master both)! I never would have believed that the pictures I feel the best in came from the time I was the oldest and the most out of shape/heaviest that I've ever been (especially during pregnancy when nothing on the body feels "pretty" or even comfortable). She took her time to style, angle, pose, light, and encourage me during our couples maternity session. I never felt rushed or like a number! I wanted "ethereal/goddess", flowy fabrics, feminine strength, etc. and she delivered! This was the best decision and I'm so thankful that my search for the perfect artist ended when I found sunnymelon/Josie! I will treasure these photos for the rest of my life. goes here
