Fire Truck Theme Cake Smash Session in Portland: A Smashing Success!

Oliver's firefighter themed cake smash was, without a doubt, a smashing success! Celebrating a baby’s first birthday with a personalized cake smash session is one of the most fun and memorable ways to document this huge milestone, and this set was particularly meaningful.

We designed the set with warm, neutral tones to create a classic, timeless feel, ensuring the focus remained on adorable Oliver and his messy fun. The elements that truly brought this set to life were the incredible props provided by Oliver's Father's fire station. Incorporating real-life elements from a parent’s profession adds a layer of depth and personal significance to the photographs that generic props simply cannot match. Everything played an amazing role in creating a cohesive and heartwarming scene.

In keeping with a beautiful family tradition, the vintage blue Americana flag was prominently incorporated into the session. This flag has a very special place in their hearts, as it has been featured in every major family session, starting all the way back at their wedding! Now, two super adorable kiddos later, this family is still keeping that tradition strong.
