I met this family 2 years ago with their first born son- August. They had a fur sibling named "Noodle" which was a Shih-Tzu breed and so well behaved. Now fast forward some time- I hear news they are expecting a new member to the clan. A baby girl! I love when clients keep be connected in their journey. I feel like a part of me is given to the session whenever that happens. Like a self-proclaimed Aunt(haha).
I made a cute Easter setup and some other new approaches too. Big brother was curious and the idea of a new baby hasn't yet "sunk" in yet. I live for these moments!

Every mum deserves to be transformed into a gorgeous goddess that she is. Carrying a child is a beautiful process and all babies are carried differently. I can say it's one of those moments that I didn't grasp for myself as I felt "large", hiding from the camera at all costs. Something I regret now looking back.
I dedicate maternity sessions with a more editorial approach. It's bold, it's wholesome with just a splash of magic. I want to make each session as tailored as possible to what the colors in each family's home is. Momma mentioned she will have a space themed nursery for her lil' man so I do my best to add little bits and pieces to the session. I've been lucky with all these babies having such amazing fantastic hair by the way!
Big sis is such a doll and I couldn't help but mention that the parents make adorable babies. I mean, the proof is in the "pudding"! This little lady's middle name is Rose. Of course, her parents wanted to incorporate real roses into her session! I even purchased a special rose backdrop and headband just for her too. Because, I love spoiling my babies.
Not only is she super gorgeous, but the amount of hair she has is just a tad fuller than mine at this point =P I met this lil' guy and fell in loveeeee! I design my sets prior to scheduled sessions and his hair was so magnificient. Momma wanted a very minimalistic approach and I am all for it. Nothing makes me happier than seeing parents have a hard time picking out their photos(because then that means I did a good job, maybe too well haha).
Just look at those blonde locks and squishy cheeks is enough for me to want to keep him! I see a lot of families, Jessica and Patrick Ginn are amazing folks with amazing girls. I just cannot express how amazing my job is, in fact.. I don't even consider it a job when I get to spoil babies. These girls were so caring for their new baby sister and I just couldn't get enough of their dynamic. It really reminded me... what joy it is to have a bigger family. ginn family, patrick ginn, newborn photographer in vancouver washington, newborn photographer in portland oregon, newborn photography in happy valley, oregon newborn photographer, washington newborn photographer, newborn family photographer in portland, portland oregon family photographer
